Bill Wood is the Executive Director of West Michigan Environmental Action Council, where he began
working in 2016 after spending 10 years working for Habitat for Humanity in Lexington, Kentucky and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Bill earned his MSW in 2006 from the University of Kentucky, and is very interested in intersectionality, place-based education, and systems theory. Bill’s Master’s thesis was on the implementation of building material reuse centers as a catalyst for growth in economically depressed communities and neighborhoods. In addition to serving with Seeds, Bill serves on a US Climate Action Network grant committee, the Kent County Solid Waste Commission, Grand Rapids Vital Streets Oversight Committee, and is a Board Member of the Michigan Environmental Council.
